Creating Magic in Health care

Last week I delivered two seminars to Meridian Health in central New Jersey.  Great leadership is alive and well in this organization. They get it!

Meridian Health is an excellent example of how well an organization can perform when everyone is inspired to do their best work. The team from the front line to the executives at Meridian are totally focused on the patient and the results show it. Keeping the patient central to everything they do inspires everyone to do their best work day in and day out. Everyone at Meridian understands how important leadership is to achieving their world class results. Team work is not just a phrase at Meridian but is actually practiced. Hospitals in general are infamous for  poor organization structures which results in average to below average patient care.

Meridian on the other hand understands that everyone is important to their vision and mission of excellence. The long list of awards that Meridian has won is impressive. They are doing very well while many hospitals in New Jersey and around the country are going into bankruptcy and closing.

It was a real pleasure to work with a group that understands the power of great leadership. I know for sure that when anyone goes into the hospital they and their families want to be assured that everyone is focused and practicing excellent patient care. At Meridian they care for you and they care about you. Pride and caring are central to what every team member at Meridian practices day in and day out.
